2. Custom Series Poster: The Other Ultimate Movie Lover Gift

In the same vein, but this time focused on the world of series (action, romantic, sci-fi, dramatic, comedic…), you can also give a custom series poster to your favorite movie lover.

The principle is exactly the same as for the movie poster, with the work also created by an illustrator from photos you provide.

House of Cards, Friends, Money Heist, Stranger Things, Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones… here are some examples of custom series posters that make a perfect gift idea for a movie lover!

3. Popcorn Machine

A good movie must be enjoyed with good popcorn… All big screen enthusiasts will confirm this!

But while a simple microwave popcorn bag might be enough for most of us, a true movie lover wouldn't be satisfied with that!

Available in all styles, the popcorn machine is logically one of the most popular movie lover gift ideas.

TIP: Also think about giving them the corn kernels so they can immediately test their new machine and fully enjoy their movie.

4. Original Poster of Their Favorite Movie

We have to admit that some movie posters are true works of art. Movie lovers adore them and don't hesitate to buy copies to enhance their home decor.

So, movie posters are obviously among the most appreciated gift ideas by movie lovers. To make their eyes sparkle for sure, give them an authentic movie poster. You can easily find them online now. But you can also get them from your local cinema (especially for recent films).

5. Scratch-Off Poster of 100 Must-See Movies

We can hear you from here: "What, another poster?" Yes, but this model has the big advantage of listing all the movies you absolutely must see in your life!

Imagine, instead of arguing about which movie to watch for the evening, you just follow your scratch-off poster's recommendations. Here's a movie lover gift idea that also promotes household peace!

Not to mention that this type of poster can also serve as cinematic decor. Once all its boxes have been scratched off, frame it and proudly hang it on your living room wall.

6. Movie Quiz or Board Game

Movie quizzes are very popular with big screen fans, as they allow them to test their knowledge and showcase their absolute expertise in this field. This is sure to flatter the ego of the movie lovers around you! It's also an original gift accessible to all budgets. Not only does the idea never fail to please a movie enthusiast, but it also allows them to share their passion with their entourage.

In the same vein, know that there are many other board games dedicated to the world of cinema. The current big trend is to revisit classic board games by adapting them to a particular cinematic universe (films or series). Like, for example, Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit and Game of Thrones Monopoly.

7. Director's Chair

Here's a particularly original movie lover gift idea: a director's chair. For an even more successful effect, you can even opt for a model personalized with their name! This detail will make all the difference. But be careful, there's a good chance your 7th art enthusiast will then spend all their time sitting in their chair…

In the same vein, and to complete their living room decor, give your movie lover a Hollywood Cinema Clapboard.

8. Cinema Masterclass

Masterclasses, or master classes in French, are very popular. Especially those related to the world of cinema.

So, many artists now offer masterclasses directly online. They bring their expertise as actors or directors, sharing their methods and expert advice.

By giving them a masterclass, your 7th art enthusiast can follow courses from Samuel L. Jackson, Martin Scorsese, Jodie Foster, Spike Lee, or Natalie Portman… Here's a cast of teachers that would make all movie lovers faint with emotion!

9. Subscription to Their Local Cinema

Most cinemas offer subscription cards. These are very interesting when you like to go to movie theaters several times a month.

Some subscriptions even cover several cinemas at once, spread throughout France. An option that allows your favorite movie lover to follow all the latest film releases, even when they're on vacation across the country.

The only downside to this gift is that there's a good chance the person you're giving it to already has this type of subscription. So find out before accidentally giving them a second one.

10. Portable Projector

Big screen lovers enjoy going to theaters, but that's certainly not the only place where they indulge their passion! You can perfectly look for your movie lover gift idea among accessories designed to improve the home cinema experience.

Starting with the portable projector, capable of projecting any film in cinematic size on living room walls, bedroom ceilings, or a projection screen.

Its portable nature allows the user to project their favorite film wherever they want, even when they're not at home. If it's powerful enough (be careful to choose your model well, they're not all equal), the movie night can even take place outdoors.

11. Projection Screen

After the projector, the projection screen is another essential gift idea for movie lovers. This stretched canvas serves to receive the image projected by the video projector. This accessory thus optimizes the sharpness and overall quality of the image.

Indeed, projecting a film on a wall doesn't hide the roughness of the wall covering. For a totally immersive session, a smooth and immaculate surface, like that provided by the projection screen, remains ideal.

Small additional advantage, this type of screen can be moved at will thanks to its simple and quick mounting.

12. Virtual Reality Headset

And since we're talking about immersion, it's hard to be more immersive than VR! Such equipment simply erases all boundaries between film and reality.

However, the virtual reality headset doesn't allow sharing a film with several people. It's used alone, for an incredibly realistic cinematic experience.

Autonomous or equipped with a smartphone, there are now many VR headset models, with prices that can range from simple to double. In any case, here's a premium gift idea for a movie lover!

13. Home Cinema

Cinema isn't just about image! When you go to a theater to attend a screening, you obviously expect to experience a complete and immersive show that relies as much on visual as sound qualities.

So, home cinema couldn't be perfect without a home theater system composed of an amplifier, several speakers, and a subwoofer.

The home cinema market has been booming for several years, going hand in hand with the growing size of flat screens in our living rooms. So, the offer is now immense, and you'll need to take some time to compare models before choosing yours.

Be careful, this is a very high-budget movie lover gift. A decade change is the perfect opportunity to share its cost financially with your friends, before giving it for a big birthday celebration.

14. Movie Dice

Let's now return to a much more affordable gift idea that never fails to make its little effect: movie dice.

This idea somewhat joins that of the scratch-off poster, since it helps you choose a movie to watch more easily. So, instead of spending hours scrolling through endless lists of film names, just throw your movie dice and consult the result.

Your roll gives you:

• the genre of film to watch
• the type of content (film or TV series)
• as well as a number

So, if you get the result "action", "film" and "5", you just need to watch the fourth film in your action category list.

Here's a fun little accessory that, under its nonchalant air, pushes you to discover content you wouldn't naturally have gone to. In short, you're not safe from very beautiful discoveries!

15. An Original Book About the World of Cinema

Last movie lover gift idea and not the least: the book dedicated to the world of cinema. There are many of them, but some works prove to be real treasures. Here are some examples:

• The book Villains which highlights the great evil figures with 200 portraits of the greatest villains in cinema and pop culture.
• The 100 Films You Must See, a great classic in movie lovers' libraries.
• The work The Great Ideas That Revolutionized Cinema, a beautifully illustrated book that covers the great evolutions of cinema, from the kinetoscope to computer-generated images.
• The book Cinema Narrative Techniques, which highlights the cinematic techniques used to construct a film's story.
• The work Special Effects: Two Centuries of History, a reference book that tells two centuries of special effects behind the scenes of Méliès, TRON, Matrix, Avatar, Star Wars, or even Marvel.
